Wow, what a night at the Cumming City Center in Cumming, GA this last weekend! We will never forget it. October 12, 2024, 7pm.
First off, the weather burst forth with glorious autumn perfection. The sun shone as we made our way toward the stage to start the show. Kids played in the front green, spinning cartwheels and adding to the festive atmosphere. Our hearts pumped with excitement to play Rush for lots of new folks! Patrick Hughes, our sound engineer, served as emcee, giving a talk about his history with Rush. He then introduced us and we launched into Limelight.
We loved the expansiveness of this venue, and enjoyed running from one side of the stage to the other. The kids in the front continued to inspire with their awesome gymnastics in time with the music. And one little guy with headphones on his ears showed so much excitement that it filled us with energy. One of our favorite things about playing to Rush fans is the diversity of people that come see us. We get all ages - those who grew up listening to Rush and those who are reaping the benefits of their Rush-loving parents.
As the sun set and filled the sky with orange and yellow glow, we played Closer to the Heart and asked people to light up their phone flashlights. It was BEAUTIFUL seeing all those twinkling lights as the moon shone overhead!
We played 2112 in its entirety, along with several Rush classics. Our final song was Xanadu, and during that tune several people came up close to sing along and take video. We loved seeing folks' faces! When the song ended they cheered and asked for an encore, which we obliged with Working Man.
We had the chance to talk to several fans after the show, which was wonderful. Our fans mean everything to us. We are always grateful for the opportunity to do this work of healing and love. What a privilege and a joy!

Until next time, Rush on everyone!
