Show Recap: Madlife

Wow, we did it! We played three shows three weekends in a row and it was exhilarating. We met so many new fans and got the chance to connect with our loyal supporters.

On November 15, we played our final show this month at Madlife Stage in Woodstock, GA. The last time we played Madlife was on a Wednesday night. Why Wednesday? Because we were doing a video shoot! It was a magical, sold-out show and some of the finished products are already uploaded to our YouTube channel! More will be released soon. Our show this weekend was also wonderful because several folks were seeing us for the first time. Plus, we always love to play Rush for our fans, as we have all been huge fans of the band for decades. (See the set list below)

The show started at 10pm because the amazing Genesis tribute band Abacab played before us. We were so impressed with them! Be sure to check them out on YouTube. But the incredible crew at Madlife made the changeover as smooth as possible, even though we all felt like chickens running around with our heads cut off to get set up in time! LOL. :-)

Finally around 10:25 it was time to start. We kicked things off with The Analog Kid, a song that had been requested at our last Madlife show. Since we were filming then we couldn't deviate from our set list, but we were happy to play it for the that fan this time.

We also played Afterimage early in the set, dedicating it to drummer Neil Peart, who we still miss. His loss has not gotten much easier, but we give meaning to the grief by playing our best in his honor.

The rest of the show was a mix from different eras of the Rush catalogue. The folks in the audience were very supportive and enthusiastic, especially when our drummer Casey played a drum solo in the middle of YYZ!

We played several epics like Jacob's Ladder and Bytor, then ended the evening with a rap (Roll the Bones) and some Spirit (of the Radio). The lighting and our logos on the screens added to the visual feast that is the Madlife stage.

It is always a privilege to play this music for our fans, who are the best on Earth. We appreciate each and every one of you. After the show we had a chance to chat with some of you which we love.

Our 11 year anniversary is coming up in about two weeks, and we look back on our journey with pride and gratitude. We can't wait to see what comes next! See you soon and RUSH ON!
